Naked in poetic glow stands 23 year old Vancouver singer/songwriter Jack Harlan. Armed with a six-string acoustic guitar, an unmistakable lonesome-dark vocal, Harlan's music can be best described as howling silence. Serious tones, sad sentiments and hopeful resurrections of faith burn deep into the listener's ear.
Though fairly new on the singer/songwriter scene, Jack has released one CD titled "The Hymns of Sorrow". Focusing mainly on the intimacy of voice and guitar, the Hymns also lend themselves to such weavings as cello, violin, as well as simplistic drum beats and bass rhythms.
In taking in Jack Harlan's music expect honest, intense raw blues and tender folk ballads of humanity today.
