Colin Kettenacker
Colin completed a Business degree in Management from
BCIT before studying New Media at Vancouver Film School.
When Colin enrolled in class12, the QuickTime VR software
had just been introduced. QuickTime VR was not available
at Vancouver Film School at that time so Colin requested
that VFS acquire this application. Colin dove right
in and quickly mastered the application. He continues
to adapt to the constant changes in QuickTime VR technology
and brings his expertise to the Quicktime VR 201 classroom,
a course he has been teaching since being hired by VFS
after graduating. He also teaches Director at VFS. |
Colin's Production Experiences
QuickTime VR was a tough sell in the beginning. Vancouver's
market was slow to warm to the New Media phenomenon.
Colin persevered in promoting QuickTime VR and eventually
began to impress customers with his work. These are
some of his productions: |

Colin's Advice to the Students...
Take the opportunity to get as much material as you
can by shooting under a wide variety of conditions to
increase your overall understanding. So don't be afraid
of the unknown. Go for it with the attitude that nothing
risked is nothing gained. Get as much experience as
possible. The industry is in constant motion. A profession
in New Media requires an attitude of lifelong learning.
