Lisa Purdy is Program Development Officer, CBC British Columbia, where she helps to develop and produce television co-productions for
both local and national broadcast. Prior to this, Purdy worked for six years at British Columbia Film as the program coordinator for the
Applied Support Program for work in the local community through her involvement on film and television boards and juries.
John Dippong
Financial Analyst, Telefilm Canada
John Dippong is a recent addition to the Western Office of Telefilm Canada. He brings an eclectic mix of experience to his role as
investment analyst. Prior to joining Telefilm, John spent two years a programmer of the Canadian Images series at the Vancouver International
Film Festival, and four years as Executive Director of Moving Pictures: Canadian Films on Tour, a non-profit film festival society he founded
with a mandate to bring Canadian films to movie screens in smaller centres across Western Canada. In addition to these two
exhibition-related activities, John recently co-produced Vancouver director Bruce Sweeny's second feature film, Dirty, which recently had its
North American premiere at the 1998 Sundance Film Festival. Dirty also screened in the International Panorama section of the Berlin
International Film Festival in February, 1998.
Stuart Aikens
Casting Director, Stuart Aikens Casting Ltd.
Stuart Aikins worked for the CBC in Toronto where he created a Training Course for Directors in Dramatic Television with the legendary
Lloyd Richards of O'Neill Foundation. In the early 70s, he left the CBC to start Canadian Casting Associates, which grew to become the
largest casting company in Canada. During this time, he worked on projects such as Atlantic City, USA for Louis Malle. In the late 70s, Mr.
Aikins left the company and went on to create his own Stuart Aikins Casting Inc. His projects included Mrs. Soffel, Three Men and a Baby,
and Moonstruck. Moving to Vancouver in 1989, he continued to work with directors such as Clint Eastwood on Unforgiven, Ed Zwick on
Legends of the Fall and Jean-Jacques Annaud on Wings of Courage. Close to his heart is his Canadian work which includes Margaret's
Museum, Lotus Eaters, and Drive, She Said. Most recently, Mr. Aikins is the Casting Director behind all the work produced by Larry Sugar
which includes the series Dead Man's Gun and the new series First Wave, executive produced by Francis Ford Coppola.
Dacia Moss

Dacia Moss(pronounced Daysha) is the literary agent at Lucas Talent. She works on behalf of writers and directors for film and television,
representing her clients and their projects in the major entertainment industry centres in Canada and in Los Angeles. Her roster is a creative
mix of established writers and directors, peppered with interesting and talented emerging writers. She is fortunate to work with some of the
top people who work out of Vancouver. Last year, in addition to independent feature and MOW projects, her clients worked in television on
John Woo's Once a Thief, North of 60, Madison, The Adventures of Shirley Homes, Black Harbour, Traders, Cold Squad, Nilus the
Sandman, and Eerie, Indiana.
Monica Pawlikowski

Monica Pawlikowski is Feature Film Analyst at Telefilm's Vancouver office. Pawlikowski is the contact person for producers applying for
feature film development and production funding. Her area of expertise lies in budget and financial analysis, as well as Telefilm policy.
Don Perro
Coordinator of the Commercial Animation Program, Capilano College
Don Perro is Coordinator of the Commercial Animation Program at Capilano College. He has worked as an animator, storyboard artist,
character designer and director in Europe and Canada. In 1990, Perro helped develop the animation/ television program at Algonquin College
of Applied Arts and Technology in Ottawa. In 1994, Capilano College hired him to set up their animation department. His former students
now work as 2D and 3D animators and designers in studios across Canada as well as at Disney feature Animation, Dreamworks SKG and
Fox Feature Animation in the US.
Jim Powers

Jim Powers is Director of development for The Shooting Gallery. He is responsible for seeking out and developing new projects as well as
consulting the filmmakers during production and post-production. Having spent several months at both Vision International (MDP
Productions) and Dino De Laurentiis Communications, Powers had a solid foundation in the industry and began to knock on doors for works
as a script reader. In 1994, he began as the only reader at the Shooting Gallery and after six months, and several hundred scripts, he was
brought abroad to create the development department.

Claire Querée
Co-founder of come as you arts ltd.
Claire Querée is co-founder of come as you arts ltd. and producer of Justin MacGregor's feature The Vigil. In true indie fashion, she
oversaw everything from the coffee on up to the financing, while managing to get the film's cast and crew across the border without work
permits. Not surprisingly, she worked as a lawyer prior to attending Ryerson Polytechnic Institute.
Simon Relph

Simon Relph is an independent film producer who worked in post-production on Land Girls, a feature directed by David Leland. Relph
returned to independent production in 1991 after five years as Chief Executive of British Screen Finance Ltd. His producer credits include
The Slab Boys, Look Me in the Eye, The Secret Rapture, and Enchanted April. Co-producer credits include Blue Justice, Camilla and Louis
Malle's Damage. Relph is Governor of the British Film Institute and the Royal College of Art, and Vice Chairman of the British Academy of
Film & Television Arts.
